Behind the Brand: The Ladies of Social Grace Vodka
Women owned, women inspired, and women driven.
The spirits brand built on philanthropy.
It all started during the COVID pandemic. Two midwest women, Christa and Denise, came together during hard times and thought “How can we help give back?”
A difficult question, easily answered by creativity and purpose.
“In March of 2020, as our world began to shut down, Christa and I had one last dinner together. We were discussing ways to broaden our reach and extend our passion for charitable giving since so many of our local nonprofits were canceling their fundraising events,” said Denise Arendell, Co-Owner. “Let’s raise a glass to something that matters! The next day we got right to work and Social Grace Vodka emerged under the cover of a pandemic. The shut downs really allowed us to take our time to perfect the formulation and packaging of this high end brand.”
Social Grace Vodka made its official debut on June 15, 2021 locally in Edwardsville, IL. It has now made it’s way across the state and through to Kansas City, MO.
“Our vodka is naturally gluten free and distilled on an 8th generation farm in Southern Illinois. We use the finest family grown white corn to create a true grain to glass experience. We’ve conducted many taste tests and know we have a truly superior premium vodka,” said Christa Guilbeault, Co-Owner. “Social Grace Vodka, 6x distilled, is 80 proof with a silky smooth finish. Our vodka has a sweet hint of agave without any added sugars.”
This idea really came about from a mission and we had to work backwards compared to many other brands. We knew that in order to give back as much as possible and truly create an impact, we had to create a product that not only mattered, but grabbed attention and had a premium flavor profile.
When asked about what excites them about the brand, Christa responded. “The bottle! Our bottle design is truly magical, it’s classy, it’s elegant and you’ll want to pick it up.”

“We wanted people to look at the bottle and envision themselves as Grace as well as see a true sophistication to her as this is a premium product.”
The overall goal of the bottle was to represent every woman, everywhere as this brand gives back LOCALLY to women and children.
Our commitment of 10% of net profits of Social Grace Vodka will go back to nonprofits serving women and children. We will grant nonprofit awards based on regions within the state where our vodka sells in order to directly help impact local communities,” said Guilbeault. “Also, when an event is held that features our vodka, we will donate an additional 10% to a nonprofit chosen by the event host.”
You will soon find Social Grace Vodka in many more local stores, bars and restaurants in the area. They distribute in Illinois through Koerner and distribution in Missouri is through Major Brands. “We certainly didn’t get here alone. We are so grateful for the support from our family, friends and our community. Here we are with distribution in two states, pinch me,” said Arendell.
